Playing card pitch deck
A pitch deck printed as a deck of playing cards, because opening a laptop at a restaurant table felt wrong.
The constraint
Early in my career I wanted to help the owner of a quiz product, and invited him to a restaurant to pitch. Opening a computer at the table looked wrong to me.
The idea
I redesigned the deck so it was a deck. Each slide printed on card, at playing card size, in a box made for the occasion. The metaphor was simple enough to say out loud: I have the card of your success in my hand.
Why it worked
A slide is watched. A card is handled, sorted, set aside, handed over. The person across the table stopped being an audience.
